Very cold Saturday morning, Pudsey running a little bit late had to start without a warm up. Pudsey started the game by pressing tightly, making some nice runs up the pitch pressuring the opposition. Wendy scores after increasing pressure in the D. Hayley scores with a fantastic strike on the inside of the post to the far corner of the goal. A few minutes to go and Lucy makes a brilliant interception, running straight up the pitch from half way with the ball, messing around in the D deciding what to do, reverse or push? She eventually decides to push the ball past the keeper. PLAYER OF THE GAME: AMY AND CLAIRE. GOALS: CHEZ x2, WENDY, HAYLEY, LUCY.
Pudsey back at home on a gray damp day. Pudsey had a slow start and was put under some early pressure by the visitors. Not the best start to the game, only 10 players available, 4 players arrived on time, the other 6 ended up at a different pitch! We started with game with 9, whilst Jude got ready in the car. After a long trek to Sheffield for a 4.30pm start, we began the game late due to earlier fixtures over-running. After a promising start, with some neat passing between all the team, Wendy hit home the first goal after an individual run from above the D. Our second goal was scored from a well timed pass from Wendy to Hayley, who was standing on the top of the D resulting in the second goal of the game. A couple of close misses followed, a deflection by Jess skimming the post, and a miss hit by Caroline after the ball was passed across the D by Jess from the right wing. A free hit was taken by Chez from outside the 25m line, straight into the D after shouts from Jess, Jess caught the ball on deflection, it was trickling towards the goal and the keeper was gaining, so Claire touched it in for the third goal of the game. Two more goals followed in the first half, the first from Jade, who ran from the half way line with the ball, all the way into the D, passing the ball through the keeper’s feet. The final goal of the first half was a second for Wendy, a clean strike into back of the goal. By the end of the first half we were up 0 – 5, however Leslie was suffering with shin splints. In the second half, Wendy completed a hat-trick. Bringing the score line up to 0 – 6. A well timed run from Jess and Chez, with a short pass to Chez inside the D resulted in the 7th goal of the game. The final goal scored by Hayley, after some more accurate passing, a short pass to Hayley on the edge of the D and another clean strike ending the game on 0 – 8. PLAYER OF THE GAME: WENDY. GOAL SCORERS: WENDY X3, HAYLEY X2, JADE, CHEZ, CLAIRE S.
We returned for our first home game at our newly laid home pitch. Both teams started brightly but not creating many chances in front of goal and the bounce of the new pitch was proving a problem for both teams. Pudsey had the better chance of the first half with a number of short corners and a good chance on the right hand post for Jess. The second half proved to be a struggle for us and we came under a lot of pressure but the defence stood strong and Kelly battled, despite getting a thumb injury in the first half, but with ten minuets to go Huddesfield broke down our defences and scored. We pushed to get an equalizer but with no luck. PLAYER OF THE GAME: LUCY (another strong performance).

Nearing the end of the first half, a solo effort from Wendy brings the score line to 0 - 3. Half time was spent sheltering in the shade next to the pitch, trying to cool down! At the beginning of the second half, Pudsey were pushed into being defensive after som early pressure from Brigg, before Pudsey converted the first two clear cut chances at goal to produce a convincing score line. The fourth goal was scored by Lucy on the volley. Meeting a lifted pass into the D by Emily, the ball split the defence and hit the back board. 0 - 4.
